Paddle Payment Gateway for EDD adds Paddle Billing as a payment gateway to Easy Digital Downloads. Your customers pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a local payment method in Paddle's secure checkout, and the order completes in EDD straight away. Paddle is the merchant of record, so it works out and collects the right tax in every country. Subscriptions sold with EDD Recurring Payments run on Paddle too.
Paddle.js opens as an overlay, or inline next to an order summary with items, tax, total and renewal terms.
Paddle calculates, collects and pays sales tax and VAT, and the tax it charged is written onto the EDD order.
Cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, Bancontact, Alipay, Pix and UPI, listed at checkout before the order is placed.
Subscriptions with free trials, signup fees and first-payment discounts. Renewals, cancellations and expiry dates stay in sync with Paddle.
Refund an order in EDD and it is refunded in Paddle, in full or in part. Refunds and chargebacks made in Paddle are recorded in EDD.
Prices come from the EDD cart, with discounts, fees, quantities and variable prices. You never recreate products in Paddle.
Every webhook is checked against your Paddle secret, so orders complete even if the buyer closes the page after paying.
